1. What is included in the workshop fee?
The fee includes:

Expert art instruction from internationally recognised artists.

Accommodation at the luxury Farnham Estate Hotel in County Cavan.

Breakfast and lunch each day.

Access to the hotel’s spa, swimming pool, and other amenities.

5 days of tuition, easels, paper towels, and gloves.

2. How many participants will there be in each workshop?
Workshops are limited to small groups of 10-12 participants to ensure personalised attention.

3. Do I need prior painting experience?
Our workshops cater to all skill levels. The artist will tailor their teaching to suit individual needs.

4. What materials do I need to bring?
A detailed materials list will be provided after registration.

5. What is the schedule for the workshop?
Workshops typically run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with breaks for lunch and refreshments. You’ll have evenings free to relax or explore.

6. What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in a luxurious room at Farnham Estate Hotel, which combines comfort with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

7. Can I bring a guest who won’t attend the workshop?
Yes! Guests can enjoy the hotel’s amenities while you participate in the workshop. Please let us know in advance for additional room arrangements. There is an extra hotel charge of €150 for the week if you want to bring a guest.

8. Are meals included?
Breakfast and lunch is included for the duration of the workshop. The hotel also has fine dining options for dinner, or you can explore nearby restaurants.

9. What amenities are available at the hotel?
The hotel offers a world-class spa, swimming pool, 18-hole golf course and extensive walking trails through the surrounding 1,300 acres of forestry and lakes.

10. How do I get to Farnham Estate Hotel?
The hotel is located just 3 km from Cavan town, County Cavan, Ireland.

By Air: The nearest major airport is Dublin (116 klms) 

By Car: The hotel is approximately 90 minutes from Dublin Airport and 2 hours from Belfast Airport.

By Public Transport: There are bus services to Cavan town, and taxis can take you from there to the hotel which is located on the outskirts of the town.   

We recommend using buseireann.ie if travelling by bus.

12. What should I pack for my trip?

You will need to bring all of the necessary art materials listed in the information pack, which we will send you a few months before the start of the workshop. We will provide easels so you do not need to travel with them.

Comfortable clothing for painting and exploring the outdoors.

Swimwear if you plan to use the spa or pool.

13. How do I register for a workshop?
Securing your spot is easy! Simply visit our Book Now page to book your place, or contact us to avoid extra fees. As spaces are limited, we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

If you’re unable to pay the full amount upfront, don’t worry, we’re here to help. Visit our Contact Page to request a payment plan. With this option, your first payment will be one-quarter of the workshop fee, which serves as your deposit and secures your spot. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before the workshop begins.

14. What is the cancellation policy?
If you have paid through the payment plan, the first payment both secures your place and is your deposit. 

Deposit is refundable (minus bank fees and 10% admin charge) for up to 30 days. After 30 days, €500 of the deposit is non-refundable. Within 3 months of the workshop itself, there is a no refund policy.

If the workshop is cancelled for any reason, all payments will be refunded in full.

If a given workshop has fewer than the minimum number of bookings before the course is due to start, the workshop will be cancelled and any persons who have booked to attend will be notified immediately. If a course is cancelled by Art Workshops Ireland the full payment (including deposit) will be 100% refunded immediately. We only refund bookings with Art Workshops Ireland; we do not refund the cost of travel. We advise you to book travel insurance.

16. Do I need a visa to travel to Ireland?
Visa requirements vary by country. Check with the Irish embassy or consulate in your area.

17. Can you recommend things to do in the area?
Absolutely! County Cavan is known for its lakes, walking trails, and charming villages. We can provide a list of activities and attractions upon request.

18. What is the weather like in Ireland?
Ireland’s weather can be unpredictable. We recommend packing layers and a waterproof jacket.
